Dissemination and Implementation RoundtableDate
July 29, 2013
9:00 a.m. (ET) – 5:00 p.m. (ET)
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is pleased to invite you to participate in a webinar meeting on the dissemination and implementation of comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) findings. We are commissioning the development of the PCORI Blueprint for Dissemination and Implementation of Research to complement the work with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The roundtable is an opportunity to provide input into the development of the request for proposal (RFP) for the commission.
A public comment period from 4:15 - 4:45 p.m. ET will allow individuals to provide comments or questions through the teleconference line. In addition to the public comment period, individuals can provide input in advance and until July 30 at 5:00 p.m. ET through:
- A page on the PCORI website allows you to contribute by addressing the questions the roundtable participants are entertaining.
- By email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- By joining the conversation on Twitter during the meeting using the #PCORI hashtag.
We welcome all questions, although the roundtable is designed to set a framework for more detailed exploration of many of key issues we know we must address. Some of those questions to be discussed in depth later on include peer-review, related aspects of scholarly publishing, the requirement that we make our research results available to clinicians, patients and the general public within 90 days “after the conduct or receipt of research findings,” and how to best make that information most “usable” for different audiences.
Comments and questions about this topic can be provided through Tuesday, July 30, at 5:00 p.m. ET. All of the input received will be considered as we develop the PCORI Blueprint for Dissemination and Implementation.
