The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) hosted a webinar meeting on the dissemination and implementation of comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) findings. We have commissioned the development of the PCORI Blueprint for Dissemination and Implementation of Research to complement the work with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The roundtable was an opportunity to provide input into the development of the request for proposal (RFP) for the commission.

We welcomed all questions, although the roundtable was designed to set a framework for more detailed exploration of many of key issues we know we must address. Some of those questions that were discussed in depth later on include peer-review, related aspects of scholarly publishing, the requirement that we make our research results available to clinicians, patients and the general public within 90 days “after the conduct or receipt of research findings,” and how to best make that information most “usable” for different audiences.

Comments and questions about this topic were accepted through Tuesday, July 30, at 5:00 p.m. ET. All of the input received was considered while we were developing the PCORI Blueprint for Dissemination and Implementation.
