Carmen E. Reyes is Center and Community Relations Manager at the Los Angeles Community Academic Partnership in Research in Aging, housed in the Division of Geriatrics in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Ms. Reyes is fluent in both English and Spanish and has more than 35 years of experience in the field of health and human services, with an emphasis on aging and social justice issues in ethnically diverse communities. She has extensive first-hand knowledge of community coalition building and advocacy efforts to influence fiscal and public policy in the field of aging. She has managed community-based partnered research studies leading to culturally and linguistically appropriate interventions, and program development and implementation designed to improve the health status of older adults in ethnically diverse communities. She established and managed the Roybal Immunization Consortium for Older Adults and the Roybal Fall and Injury Prevention Consortium.

Reyes served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Addressing Disparities from April 2013 - April 2016.
