Jacqueline H. Grant, an Atlanta native, is the Southwest District Health Director for the Georgia Department of Public Health. This district covers 6,000 square miles and 14 counties. While the first site continued to address the needs of primarily African-American women, CenteringPregnancy® soon expanded into a second site aimed at Hispanic women. In 2012, she presented on Centering at the American Public Health Association Convention and she frequently speaks on Centering throughout Georgia. In 2012, she received the Tee Rae Dismukes Award. She holds a MPA from Harvard University, an MPH from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and an MD from the Morehouse School of Medicine.
Grant served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Addressing Disparities from April 2013 - April 2015.
