James Pantelas is known by many at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital as “Stella’s Dad.” He is also a seven-year survivor of late-stage lung cancer and an active advocate for lung cancer research and awareness. He is an active PFCC Advisor on multiple committees, initiatives, and efforts. He sits on the hospital’s Executive Committee and the Pediatric Ethics Committee and is a Board Member on an Institutional Review Board at the School of Medicine. He is a volunteer advocate with the National Lung Cancer Partnership. Professionally, he spent more than three decades as an executive in the information technology consulting industry.
Pantelas served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Assessment of Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment Options from Spring 2013 - Spring 2017.
