Jerry A. Krishnan is Professor of Medicine and Public Health, and Associate Vice President for Population Health Sciences, at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Krishnan is a leader in the field of comparative effectiveness research methods in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He is a principal investigator in PCORI-funded pragmatic trials, and a principal investigator in the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) AsthmaNet Program. He serves as a chair of the PCORI Improving Healthcare Systems merit review panel.

Krishnan was a member of the Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials' Subcommittee on the Standardization of Complex Concepts and their Terminology.
