Kelly Byram is an experienced researcher and medical writer, who has trained and collaborated extensively with teams on the development of patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) projects and proposals, many of which have received PCORI funding. In addition to PCOR, Byram specializes in rare disease and orphan drug research and funding both in the United States and abroad. She has extensive experience in developing research programs with rural, frontier, and tribal communities and stakeholders. Byram holds Master’s degrees in Biology and Business Administration, and is a certified Editor in the Life Sciences. She has trained researchers in PCOR development and PCORI proposal writing since 2010, has served as a PCORI Peer Reviewer, and has been a PCORI Ambassador since the program’s inception. Over the years, she has spoken to many individuals and groups about PCORI and how to develop successful PCORI projects and proposals, and she has written, edited, and consulted on many successful PCORI proposals. Byram looks forward to collaborating with interested groups.
