As an early adopter, Lisa Nelson has been engaged in PCORI’s work since 2012, and has learned through this process that an important role she can play is that of translator.

She feels that it’s critical to bridge the cultures of academic-medical research communities and those of community-based healthcare organizations to ensure that PCORI’s research investments are as widely disseminated and implemented as possible.
