Mark V. Mishra, MD, is an academic radiation oncologist who also spends a significant amount of time treating cancer patients within a community-based cancer center. His primary research focus at the University of Maryland has been centered on comparative effectiveness research related to new and complex radiation technologies, including proton beam therapy. He has also been closely collaborating with Daniel Mullins and other members of PATIENTS (“PATient-centered Involvement in Evaluating the effectiveNess of TreatmentS”) at the University of Maryland to conduct patient-centered outcomes research based upon feedback and questions raised by patients whom he treats at a community cancer center.

Mishra served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement from April 2015 - April 2018.
