Meheret Shumet is the Special Assistant to the Chief Science Officer at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Along with providing support for the Chief Science Officer, she is responsible for managing various special projects and initiatives within the Office of the Chief Science Officer and across the Science department.

Before joining PCORI, Shumet worked as an analyst at Sightlines, a benchmarking and analysis firm outside of Philadelphia, where she provided asset management consulting services to various colleges and universities across the United States.

Shumet received a BA in history with minors in political science and international studies from Bryn Mawr College.
