Tiffany Leung, MD, MPH is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and postdoctoral fellow in Medical Informatics at VA Palo Alto Health Care System and Stanford University. From 2011 to May 2013, she was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, where she was a clinician-educator and primary care general internist. Her special interests include clinical informatics, chronic disease management, ambulatory quality improvement, and health information technology. Dr. Leung advocates for clinical practice attentive to skills in literacy-sensitive communication, shared decision-making, and self-management support, inspired by a cohesive patient-provider-care team relationship. In her former faculty role, she co-led Patient-Centered Medical Home transformation efforts at the SIU General Medicine clinic, was a member of SIU’s Meaningful Use Committee, and led multidisciplinary teams on projects related to the electronic health record. She received a BS in Biomedical Engineering, and a MD/MPH from Northwestern University.
Leung served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Improving Healthcare Systems from April 2013 - April 2015.
