Representing: Patients
Tracy Lenzini was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases and had to close her manufacturing business due to her health issues. She then focused her attention on advocating for patients. She started as an Ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation and visited DC many times advocating for patients. Lenzini started her own 501(c)(3) to provide transportation assistance for patients in rural areas. She became a merit reviewer for PCORI to focus on assisting others. Despite being ill, she didn’t give up on attaining her goal to have a very productive life. She is passionate about patients’ participation in shared decision making and will continue to volunteer until she is unable to do so. Lenzini’s chronic illness made her who she is today, and she appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
