Patient/Participant-Driven Research Organizations Learning Network Coordination: Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Analytic and Operational Support for the Engagement of the Public and Patients
PCORI sought proposals for contractors to establish a learning network in support of Patient/Participant-Driven Research Organizations (PDROs). The Contractor shall provide the following types of professional services/support:
- Coordination of network learning activities among participants, which may include learnings from organizations outside the network. These activities could include but are not limited to: virtual and in-person convenings, best practice sharing webinars, and seminar series.
- Coordination of network workgroups in key PDRO priority areas. Priority areas include but are not limited to: improving representativeness of PDRO members and research participants, elaborating on sustainable PDRO business models, improving effectiveness of digitally-based engagement and recruitment efforts, and accelerating adoption of evidence-based engagement approaches.
- Production of reports, manuscripts, and/or other materials or presentations that inform and reflect on the work of the network. This could include but is not limited to: understanding the landscape of PDROs; and describing the establishment of the learning network, including outlining goals, summarizing the overall work of the network, articulating priorities for various stakeholders (e.g. funders, research organizations), and making recommendations for PCORI for future efforts.
PCORI sought an offeror with demonstrated experience partnering with patient-/participant-led organizations at different points of development working to facilitate research. PCORI strongly encouraged partnering with diverse organizations to provide expertise in all the areas included above and is especially interested in responses that include meaningful leadership and contributions by patient-/participant-led organizations.
