The Studying PCORI's Patient-Centered Approach (PCA) Workgroup consists of members of PCORI's Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement (PEAP) and advises PCORI staff on PCORI’s learning and evaluation strategy and initiatives. As a learning organization, PCORI is committed to monitoring and evaluating our activities to promote continuous improvement and measure success in achieving our mission. The PEAP PCA Workgroup provides input to PCORI staff on the most important questions to answer about PCORI’s activities and effective ways to evaluate and answer those questions.

The PEAP PCA Workgroup helps ensure that 1) PCORI’s questions about its approach reflect the priorities and experiences of patients and stakeholders, 2) PCORI’s efforts to studying our approach will produce relevant and trustworthy information, and 3) PCORI will effectively interpret and share what is learned.

The topics the Workgroup discusses are not tied to specific existing or forthcoming funding opportunities. Workgroup activities are summarized at PEAP meetings, which are open to the public. Meeting agendas and summaries are posted after each Workgroup meeting (see a list of past meetings below), and members’ Conflict of Interest disclosures are noted in their biographies.
