As required under PCORI’s authorizing law, PCORI's Methodology Committee works to define and update methodological standards for patient-centered outcomes research. To date, the Methodology Committee has created or endorsed Methodology Standards that provide guidance in 13 topic areas, for a total of 54 standards.
At its July 24, 2018 meeting, PCORI’s Board of Governors accepted the Committee's proposal to update the standards with two new categories containing 11 new standards.
We invited comments on these proposed new standards, as required under PCORI’s authorizing law. The deadline for submitting comments was Friday, September 21, 2018, at 5:00 pm ET.
