Provide Input

Public Input Period: Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 - Monday, Jan. 15, 2024

PCORI is seeking input from the community related to a draft Patient-Centered Economic Outcomes Landscape for Considering the Full Range of Outcomes in PCORI-funded Research.

PCORI-funded studies should capture, as appropriate, the full range of clinical and patient-centered outcomes. This includes costs and other economic burdens—these are the potential burdens and economic impacts of the utilization of medical treatments, items, and services on different stakeholders and decision-makers.

PCORI has produced a draft Landscape of Patient-Centered Economic Outcomes that aims to lay out, in one place, appropriate and relevant outcomes, that capture costs and other economic burdens from a patient-centered, but multi-stakeholder, perspective.

The landscape is intended to serve as a reference for PCORI applicants to use when considering their research questions, patient populations, study contexts and settings, and what patient-centered economic outcomes might be appropriate and relevant.

The landscape does not present or prescribe what outcomes, measurement techniques, or analytic methods researchers must include. PCORI intends it to be a reference and not a blueprint. PCORI invites input from patients, families, caregivers, and all of our stakeholders, the broader healthcare community, and the public.

The deadline for input is Jan. 15, 2024, at 5 pm (ET). If you have questions or are having trouble with your submission, please contact [email protected].
