Suzanne 'Suz' Schrandt, J.D., is a patient and patient engagement activist with a health and disability law and policy background and founder and CEO of ExPPect, a patient engagement “do-tank.” Schrandt previously served in engagement leadership roles at the Arthritis Foundation and at PCORI. Her career spans work in health reform, bioethics and disability rights and includes a long history in patient-led health professions education. Schrandt serves on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Patient Engagement Advisory Committee, the National Institutes of Health’s National Institutes of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases Advisory Committee, the Geneva Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee, and the Innovation and Value Initiative’s Board of Directors and is immediate past chair for the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Global Patient Council.
