PCORI's Online System is now open for the submission of Letters of Intent (LOIs) and applications for a new round of PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs). They include calls for proposals under our Methods and Implementation of Research Results programs, and four Broad funding announcements under our National Priorities for Research. Links to each PFA are below.
Although the Broad funding opportunity seeks the research community’s best ideas for studies on any topic, PCORI is particularly interested in proposals focused on these two special areas of interest that are outlined in PCORI’s reauthorizing legislation:
- Intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Maternal mortality
The Broad PFA will also prioritize the following Research Areas of Interest:
- Genetic sequencing to guide cancer treatment
- Peripheral artery disease
- Suicide prevention
The deadline for LOI submissions for the Implementation of Research Results PFA is January 28 by 5 p.m. ET, while the LOI submission deadline for the Broad and Methods PFAs is February 4 by 5 p.m. ET.
Full applications for the Implementation of Research Results PFA are due on April 7 by 5 p.m. ET, while the application deadline for the Broad and Methods PFAs is May 5 by 5 p.m. ET.
Please note: PCORI understands that the research community is amid significant challenges as it adapts to the COVID-19 emergency. For Broad and Methods PFAs, applicants are also eligible to defer submission of their application to Cycle 2 2020, with a deadline of September 1, 2020. All such deferral requests must be submitted by the principal investigator to [email protected] before the specified submission deadline (May 5, 2020), copying the Institutional Administrative Official listed on the application.
