Tuesday, September 7—PCORI's Online System opened today for the submission of Letters of Intent (LOIs) and applications for three Targeted PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs) that will seek research study proposals relating to healthy aging, osteoporotic fractures, and migraine prevention.
More specifically, the Targeted PFAs are seeking proposals that answer these questions:
-- With the different phases of the aging continuum in mind, how can we achieve one or more of the following four goals? Maintaining function and independence; Facilitating chronic disease management; Supporting individuals with significant functional impairment; Reducing caregiving burden and improving quality of life. -- What is the comparative effectiveness of multimodal treatment interventions (i.e., combination of pharmacologic and/or non-pharmacologic) on patient-centered outcomes in people with osteoporosis and a history of fractures? (More information)
