PCORI periodically provides the public with opportunities to provide input on various aspects of our work, including requests for information, draft reports, policies, and initiatives. These include formal public comment periods outlined in our authorizing legislation.
PCORI's National Priorities for Health: Proposed Priorities for Public Comment
In June 2021, the PCORI Board of Governors voted to release for public comment five proposed National Priorities for Health. PCORI will work toward these broad, ambitious goals through our Research Agenda, stakeholder engagement, dissemination and implementation, and health communication. While our current National Priorities and Research Agenda have guided PCORI for nearly 10 years, these proposed priorities represent an ambitious new approach to direct our work in the years ahead.
Following a 60-day public comment period, which takes place from June 28 to August 27, 2021, PCORI will revise the proposed National Priorities for Health and expects to finalize them in Fall 2021. The priorities will serve as the foundation for developing PCORI’s Research Agenda, which we intend to present for public comment in Fall 2021.
Policy Regarding Use and Disclosure of Public Comments
Members of the public can decide whether to provide personal identifying information during any public comment period. Any comments you provide to PCORI, including but not limited to any documents or other materials and any identifying information submitted with your comments, are collected voluntarily and may be disclosed by PCORI on this website, elsewhere on the Internet, in any other public forum, or in other PCORI materials. By providing public comments, you are consenting to their disclosure, use, and consideration by PCORI. PCORI makes comments available as submitted and does not independently verify any aspect of comment (e.g., content, organization affiliation or stakeholder designation).
