These presentation slides provide an overview of comparative effectiveness research (CER) and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR), with the purpose of training policy making teams. The slides also offer examples of state initiatives that used CER and PCOR to inform policy decisions. Other teams could use parts of this slide deck to provide an overview of CER and PCOR. Other state agencies interested in learning more about using CER and PCOR to inform policy decisions could also use the slide deck to learn more, as well as to identify resources offered by the Center for Health Policy Development to support these efforts.
