The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) held a special webinar to brief stakeholders on PCORI’s draft Methodology Report and encourage public comment. The draft report, released July 23, 2012, offers standards to guide health care stakeholders towards the best and most appropriate methods for conducting patient-centered outcomes research.
The webinar provided an in-depth account of the scientific value of the proposed standards and is best suited for technical audiences, including researchers and scientists.
Speakers were PCORI Methodology Committee members Steven Goodman, MD, MHS, PhD, Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research, Stanford University School of Medicine; Robin Newhouse, PhD, RN, FAAN, NEA-BC, Chair and Associate Professor, University of Maryland School of Nursing; and PCORI’s Director of Engagement Research Lori Frank, PhD.
On August 14, PCORI hosted a webinar exploring the standards proposed in the draft report for patient-centeredness and patient engagement research.
