PCORI and UsAgainstAlzheimer's conducted a joint briefing on Alzheimer’s disease research with a focus on caregivers.
Guided by patients, caregivers and other stakeholders, PCORI funds research designed to provide patients and caregivers in care decisions, evaluating treatment options, and improving care delivery.
Presented with UsAgainstAlzheimer’s, a partner in PCORI’s National Alzheimer’s & Dementia Patient & Caregiver-Powered Research Network, the briefing was designed to:
- Raise awareness of caregivers’ needs and the outcomes important to them and the patients for whom they care
- Highlight PCORI’s research to address those outcomes
- Provide healthcare professionals and advocates an opportunity to discuss where more research is needed
