Session Summary

Vulnerable populations represent groups that are often underserved and have limited access to quality health care. As a result, these populations experience worse health and healthcare outcomes. This session highlighted three PCORI-funded studies that are doing just that. The studies' investigators and their patient and stakeholder partners presented successes and challenges in conducting patient-centered outcomes research in vulnerable populations, identified lessons they have learned, and shared study results. The presenters also discussed strategies and implications for dissemination and implementation of these study results beyond the participants in the research.
