On December 11, 2018, the Board approved about $20 million to fund two new studies comparing how well different treatments work in improving care for conditions that impose high burdens on patients, caregivers and the healthcare system.
The first project, across three sites in the U.S. and Canada, aims to improve mental health services for new and expectant mothers. The second project, based in Tennessee, will compare different approaches to preventing obesity in infants and toddlers. Learn more about these studies. The Board also reviewed the Q4 PCORI Dashboard with an End-of-Year summary.
All PCORI Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting was held via teleconference/webinar with no public comment period.
