On the first day of its two-day September 2020 meeting, the Board approved the selection of 34 people to serve on PCORI’s five multi-stakeholder advisory panels. They also approved chairs and co-chairs for four of the five panels. The Board also approved $1.2 million for a new Implementation project that will work with 12 medical systems across the country to put in place a program for managing home oxygen therapy for premature infants leaving the hospital. Board members also discussed and approved a 60-day public comment period on Proposed Principles for the Consideration of the Full Range of Outcomes Data. On the second day of the meeting, the Board approved an extension of funding for PCORnet and received a report from the Strategic Planning Committee, among other business.
