2021 PCORI Virtual Annual Meeting Breakout Session

How can the nation create a system of research that simultaneously promotes healthy outcomes and health equity? What resources and systems are necessary for the research community to achieve this goal? How can PCORI facilitate and promote this approach? These questions and more will be explored as health research leaders reflect on how to accomplish more effective research on health equity and consider which investments in infrastructure will best support research in critical equity areas, such as social determinants of health. Other topics include policies designed to reduce disparities and systems-level and structural changes needed across health care to address racism, bias, and discrimination.
