At its meeting on June 15, 2021, the Board approved the development and opening of three Targeted PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs) covering these high-burden topics: healthy aging, prevention of osteoporotic fractures and prevention of migraine. These PFAs, which will open on Tuesday, September 7, will offer up to $130 million in total funding support.
The Board also approved for public comment the posting of five proposed National Priorities for Health. The approval marks the latest step in the process of refreshing PCORI’s priorities and Research Agenda, which will guide our future funding of patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research. More information about the National Priorities for Health public comment period will be available soon.
All PCORI Board meetings are open to the public. This meeting was held via teleconference/webinar with no public comment period. Catch up on past PCORI Board meetings here.
