2022 PCORI Annual Meeting Breakout Session

In 2021, PCORI’s Board of Governors adopted Accelerating Progress Toward an Integrated LHS as one of PCORI’s National Priorities for Health and developed the Prioritizing Principles for Infrastructure Funding Related to PCORnet®, including recognizing, enabling, and promoting the value of PCORnet®, the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network to contribute to an LHS. In this session, speakers from three LHS-aligned PCOR Infrastructure programs discuss how their work builds and leverages important LHS infrastructure, supports learning processes across health and social care systems for patients and communities, and informs the transportability of science to practice.

This session also explores efforts to support LHS models and contemplate innovations in data and technology approaches, workforce development, and methodologies essential to achieving an integrated LHS vision. The session also describes how PCORI is developing internal continuous learning mechanisms to develop the role of a funder in an integrated LHS.
