2022 PCORI Annual Meeting: Results and Lessons from PCORI's COVID-19 Portfolio
- -
2022 PCORI Annual Meeting Breakout Session
While funding research and engagement to address the COVID-19 pandemic can generate important results and evidence, the ever-changing context of the pandemic (surges, changing policies at local/state/federal levels, evidence, and public opinion about different treatment or mitigation strategies, etc.) can make this work challenging for both funders and funded investigators and project leads. During this session, presenters highlight findings from their PCORI-funded studies and projects, focused on underserved urban communities, healthcare workers, and outpatient care. Attendees will learn about key results from PCORI’s COVID-related research and engagement portfolios. They will also learn about some of the challenges and complexities of carrying out this work in the context of an ever-changing pandemic.
