2022 PCORI Annual Meeting Keynote

In this keynote address, Ashley Valentine, MRes — a national leader in sickle cell disease advocacy and Co-Founder and President of Sick Cells — shares her experience in the rare disease community as a patient advocate and how it shaped her approach to patient engagement in research and patient community involvement. She also speaks about how her organization uses storytelling to promote equity, advocacy, and empowering the patient community to change the way people with sickle cell disease receive quality access to care.
