In October and November 2022, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) engaged with several doulas and doula organizations to discuss perceptions of doula care, current barriers to providing doula care and the needs of the doula community, and future opportunities for research and capacity building to support doula engagement and partnership in comparative clinical effectiveness research.
