On May 6, 2024, PCORI posted a Request for Information (RFI) to learn how it might provide enhanced support for continuing efforts of previously funded awardees of the Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award (EA) Program. The EA Program was created to bring patients, families, caregivers and the broader health and healthcare community into the research process.

This RFI seeks input to inform the development of a potential funding initiative designed to further build capacity of patients, families, caregivers and the broader health and healthcare community to engage in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER).

This RFI is open to the public. However, PCORI is particularly interested in responses from current and former Engagement Awardees and their teams with insights from individuals and organizations representing patients, families, caregivers and the broader health and healthcare community. PCORI also welcomes perspectives of former applicants and those who have considered applying.
