The PCORI Emerging Health Care Innovation Briefs, which expand on the Biweekly COVID-19 Scans, highlight important topics of interest identified during the ongoing scanning and topic identification process or through the ECRI stakeholder survey process.

The Innovation Briefs also highlight information on potentially disruptive developments across the PCORI Health Care Horizon Scanning System's six focus areas—Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases (including COVID-19), mental and behavioral health conditions, rare diseases—and high-level trends cutting across multiple focus areas.
