Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials Fall 2018 Meeting

On November 16, the Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials (CTAP) held its Fall 2018 meeting. Anne Trontell, Associate Director, Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science, led a discussion on identifying aspects of clinical trials associated with “successful” performance. Trontell continued the panel conversation in describing the concept of Studies With A Trial (SWATs) and discussing their potential inclusion in future PCORI-funded research. Allie Rabinowitz, Program Associate, Office of the Chief Science Officer, gave an update on PCORI’s newly approved Policy on Data Management and Data Sharing.

The CTAP will reconvene in the spring of 2019.
