Principal Investigator Luci Leykum from the University of Texas San Antonio and South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and four Ambassadors—James Harrison, Melissa Wurst, Georgiann Ziegler, and James Banta—presented their work on the PCORI-funded i-HOPE study. The study aims to improve hospital inpatient care and outcomes by engaging patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders to create a prioritized list of questions to guide research and improvement efforts. The research team detailed project goals, methods, findings, and next steps during the coffee break.
