Represented: Researchers

William Bennett is an Associate Professor of pediatrics, pediatric gastroenterologist, clinical informatician, and clinical researcher at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Children Health Improvement Research Development Laboratory and an investigator in the Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Comparative Effectiveness Research. His projects focus on using informatics tools to engage patients and families with physicians and improve health outcomes.

His work in informatics has fostered a belief that we have the capacity to create more effective care with straightforward existing tools, and all it takes is the willingness to meet these needs. As the father of a special needs child, he also works to help converge the goals of clinicians and the goals of patients and their families, with the understanding that we still have much to learn from each other.

William served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Clinical Effectiveness Decision Science from August 2020 to August 2023.
