Terrie Black, DNP, MBA, BSN, RN, CRRN, FAHA, is a past President of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN), and she received ARN's Distinguished Service Award and President’s Award. She’s a Fellow in the American Heart Association (FAHA) and is Past Chair of the AHA Stroke Nursing Symposium Committee. She’s Vice-Chair of AHA’s Stroke Nursing Committee and is a merit reviewer and ambassador for PCORI. In addition to serving on numerous national advisory boards and Technical Expert Panels (TEPs), publishing dozens of articles, and presenting at national and international conferences, she is committed to addressing disparities within public health. Black received a BSN from Penn State University, an MBA from Western New England College, and a DNP from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Member Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, Member American Nurses Association, Member American Public Health Association, Member American Heart/American Stroke Association, Member of American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine. She will be inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in October 2016.

Black previously served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Addressing Disparities and a member of the Advisory Panel on Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research from August 2016 to August 2019.
