Andrea Taylor’s experience with PCORI began in 2015 while attending the National Organization for Rare Disorders conference. From there, she completed the training offered by the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and successfully applied for her organization’s first PCORI Engagement Award. She assisted two other rare patient groups to obtain their Engagement Awards, as well.finished. Andrea is interested to learn more about PCORI, patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR), and comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER). Having found in her own experience that there is not much support for people living with rare conditions, Andrea has been willing to help anyone she can to obtain theirs. She has learned more about how to better engage patients and stakeholders through her work with PCORI and is motivated to give back to others.

Note: not all of our funded projects focus on a single disease or condition; some touch on multiple diseases or conditions, research methods, or broader health system interventions. Such projects won’t be listed by a primary disease/condition and so won’t appear if you use this filter tool to find them. View Glossary
