Andrew A. Nierenberg, MD, holds the Thomas P. Hackett, MD, Endowed Chair in Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and is the Director of the Bipolar Research Program, and Associate Director of the Depression Clinical and Research Program. He is also the Director of Training and Education for the MGH Research Institute. Dr. Nierenberg's academic appointment is Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
