Ashlyn Burns is currently a doctoral student in health policy and management and a research associate at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She also serves as a PCORI merit reviewer. She has experience interacting with community-based organizations and health systems as a patient, a student, a consultant, an emergency medical technician, an emergency department volunteer and a researcher. She aspires to utilize her unique experience to conduct community-engaged research and facilitate the implementation of research findings into practice to create a more accessible health system.
