Bonnie Clipper, DNP, RN, MA, MBA, FACHE, CENP, is the Chief Clinical Officer at Cornerstone Hospital of Austin in Texas. She was previously the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at the Medical Center of the Rockies. Clipper is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow and, in 2013, was awarded the American Organization of Nurse Executives Nurse Mentor award. She serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the American Nurses Association newspaper and the ANA Nursing Administration Advisory Panel.

She is adjunct faculty for several nursing schools, including; University of Colorado, University of Texas at Austin, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Winona State University. She has been a key member of innovative small teams that have successfully secured funding for $8.4 million of grants for new graduate nurse orientation and retention programs. She has authored “The Nurse Manager’s Guide to an Intergenerational Workforce.” She is the creator of, a website for new graduates, faculty, and preceptors that helps improve the on-boarding, safety, and transition of new graduate nurses into practice.

Clipper previously served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Improving Healthcare Systems.

Clipper served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research from Winter 2018 - Spring 2018.
