Carolyn Mohan, DrPH, is an Assistant Director at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She is responsible for organizing and managing the comprehensive scientific and technical review of applications submitted for PCORI funding, ensuring the integrity of the merit review process, and providing technical assistance to PCORI’s external reviewers.
Before joining PCORI, Mohan provided technical guidance to USAID missions across the globe in program design, program management, and policy and strategy development. She designed a multimillion-dollar infectious disease program for USAID and strengthened interagency collaboration, including public/private partnerships. She has spearheaded numerous evaluations and needs assessments, including gender analyses, and has developed multiple health programs totaling over $200 million covering countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Mohan received a bachelor of arts in sociology from Vassar College, a master of public health and master of international affairs from Columbia University, and a doctor of public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
