David White is a grateful kidney transplant recipient and a veteran of six years of dialysis. He serves as co-chair of PCORI’s Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement, and is an inaugural member of the FDA Patient Engagement Collaborative. He currently is a patient-centered research partner in a Eugene Washington Engagement Award-funded anemia research project entitled “ESRD Anemia Research Priorities: Perspectives from Dialysis Patients and Other Stakeholders” and serves as a patient partner with the National Committee for Quality Assurance in its “Serious Illnesses Standards and Measures for Accountability” multiyear initiative. He has been a PCORI Ambassador since 2017. His motivation is to learn more about PCOR so he can be a better research partner and facilitator.
