Deborah Hunt, PhD, is a nursing professor. She became involved with PCORI at its inception. PCORI was unique and she embraced its patient-centered approach to evaluating research proposals and its major emphasis on comparative effectiveness research and dissemination of the results. Her first experience involved evaluating the methods used for review. She also has served on several merit review panels. She has completed the Ambassador training and provided input, but she would like an opportunity to be part of a research study in an advisory or consultant capacity.
