Emily Bergin

Emily Bergin was motivated to become involved in public health and patient centered research through her work as a research assistant in the What Matters Most Study. She spent a year collecting data at Montefiore Hospital for this study looking at socioeconomic status and decision making in breast cancer and was able to be directly involved in patient contact. This past year, Bergin spent time working for Sanofi's benefit risk analysis team to help incorporate patient preference into the drug development process. She is now working with the Global Healthy Living Foundation to support their work on patient-centered research.

Note: not all of our funded projects focus on a single disease or condition; some touch on multiple diseases or conditions, research methods, or broader health system interventions. Such projects won’t be listed by a primary disease/condition and so won’t appear if you use this filter tool to find them. View Glossary
