Ethan N. Chiang, PhD, MS, is the Associate Director for the Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Program at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
In this role, Chiang supports the dissemination and implementation of findings from PCORI-funded research and is responsible for overseeing PCORI’s D&I Award funding program. Prior to this role, he was a Senior Merit Review Officer, where he was responsible for organizing and managing the comprehensive scientific and technical review of applications submitted for PCORI funding.
Before joining PCORI, Chiang was a Study Director and Senior Program Officer with the Board on Global Science and Technology at the National Research Council of the U.S. National Academies. In this position, he managed a series of federally funded programs to assess the implications of global advances in emerging research areas, to promote international research engagement and collaboration, and to build connectivity between emerging scientific communities and U.S. policymakers.
Chiang holds a PhD in chemistry and MS in chemical biology, both from Cornell University, as well as a BA in chemistry from Whitman College.
