Evan McShan is a current Project Manager at Baylor Scott and White Research Institute (BSWRI) and a Doctoral Candidate in Population Health with an expected graduation in Spring 2023. She has served in a research role at BSWRI since 2013 and has been involved in community-based participatory research since 2017. McShan’s experience has included engaging former patients, care partners, clinicians, and community members in the modification, implementation, and dissemination of an evidence-based weight loss intervention for people with traumatic brain injury and stroke (NCT03594734; NCT03873467). McShan has enjoyed the partnership formed with project stakeholders and she recently co-authored a manuscript with two stakeholders describing the team's process of engagement. She looks forward to the opportunity to continue such partnership in her team’s recently funded PCORI Engagement Award to partner with stakeholders for sports-related concussion.
