Fatimah AlAhmari, MBBS, MBA, is a developmental pediatrician from Saudi Arabia. In her capacity as a PCORI ambassador, she strives to promote patient-centered research and advocate for patient perspectives to be incorporated into research. Having a background in developmental pediatrics, child mental health and healthcare management, she has a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and the importance of evidence-based decision making. Throughout her involvement in PCORI-funded projects, AlAhmari collaborates with diverse stakeholders to identify research priorities and incorporate patient perspectives. Through community outreach, educational events and stakeholder meetings, she has promoted patient engagement in research. Her clinical fellowship certificate and Master of Business Administration degree enable her to critically evaluate projects and contribute to meaningful discussions on patient-centered care. Additionally, she looks forward to working with advocacy organizations, attending research conferences and mentoring fellow ambassadors as part of the Ambassador Program. In order to make a difference in health care and empower patients, AlAhmari joined the Ambassador Program to actively contribute to the transformation of research processes and foster a patient-centered culture.
