Frank W. Rockhold, PhD, has had diverse leadership and consulting experience in industry and academia in the areas of clinical trials design and monitoring, data standards, benefit/risk evaluation, epidemiology and real world evidence, cardiovascular research and development, and most recently safety and pharmacovigilance. He is also a leader in promoting data disclosure and transparency in clinical research, has more than 100 publications across a wide variety of topics, and in addition to his current full time post at Duke, has held adjunct faculty appointments at five universities, including a current post as Affiliate Professor of Biostatistics at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

Rockhold holds a BA in Statistics from The University of Connecticut, an ScM in Biostatistics from The Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Biostatistics from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. He served on the board of directors of the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, most recently as Board Chairman, is past president of the Society for Clinical Trials, is a Fellow of both the American Statistical Association and the Society for Clinical Trials, and is an Accredited Professional Statistician, PStat.®

Rockhold served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials from April 2014 - April 2017.
