Hayley Shasteen
Global Healthy Living Foundation - Staff Member
Hayley Shasteen is a new research fellow with the Global Healthy Living Foundation and is currently working with the team on a PCORI-funded study, “Vaccine Uptake Research in Autoimmune Disease: Multistakeholder Planning.” Although she is new to patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR), she has previously conducted research focusing on patient experiences and outcomes; for example, as an undergraduate at Kent State University, she conducted several research studies focused on cognitive impairments in people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and has most recently worked on a qualitative study aimed at defining and understanding brain fog in patients with chronic conditions. Hayley is very passionate and interested in patient-centered research because she believes it is a vital component for effective interventions and beneficial research for many patient populations. Hayley was motivated to become an Ambassador so that she can become more educated in patient-centered research and promote patient-centered research.
